Love:
Is giving without wanting anything back.
Loving On Purpose
Our lives as parents can be so busy, we sometimes disconnect our hearts from our actions. We can prevent this by practicing being intentional with the ways we show our love towards our children. Including saying ‘I love you’ more often, using endearing nicknames, adding sweet, kind or precious to their name, or simply taking a break from what you are doing to give them a hug when they enter our space.
God, help us to continually choose to turn our hearts back to our children every day. Help us to be intentional about showing and telling them, we love them especially if we didn’t grow up in a family who did those types of things. Help us to remember to give lots of hugs, kisses, and words of encouragement. Holy Spirit come and fill us up with your fruit of love.
