Our Why
One day while reading my bible and for praying for the Lord to turn my heart towards my children. Because, truth be told, I was in a place far from where I am now and it was NOT. In those days resented my children, and I couldn't wait for them to go off to school so that I could start living MY life again. I know this sounds horrible, but I feel it is important for you, my reader, to have an honest understanding of where I started. I was in the book of Deuteronomy
Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the door frames of your houses and on your gates.
Deuteronomy 6:5-9
And it hit me! How in the world would I be able to do this if I sent my kids away to school. Then and there we made the decision to home school. There has been good days and hard days. But, in those hard days I remember why we chose home school in the first place. Let us help you find out your WHY.
