The Struggles Are Real

In child rearing there can be moments of true long suffering. From hard pregnancies to newborns and sleepless nights,  battling illnesses small and life threatening,  rebellion and a child turning completely away from the Lord. The struggles are real. Jesus told us that in this world we will have suffering, but take heart He has overcome the world. (John 16:33) Because of this promise He encourages us not grow weary in well doing because in the right time, in God’s time,  there will be a harvest. (Gal 6:9) He will be faithful to complete the work HE started. So what do we do while we wait?  We endure.

Endurance: To  finish what we have started even when the task gets tough.

Take His Yoke
His yoke is easy…..
Yes easy. Endurance is taking all of the things you know to be true about God and fixing yourself to them. He is faithful to the end, He will complete what He has started, He hears our cry, He came so that we may have life and have it abundantly. Take His word and fix yourself to it!
…..and His burden is light. And yes light! I have found that the heaviest yokes I have carried were never placed on me by someone else, but rather I was the one who either took too much on, or had unrealistic expectations in my own abilities. I began to lean and rest against the Lord in my trials, struggles, frustrations, and recognizing my weakness.  I realized how inept I am, and how capable and limitless God is.

Worship And Pray
The Lord is enthroned on our worship. (Psalms 22:3) Whenever we worship God we are creating a throne for Him to come and sit on in our lives. When we worship and praise Him while we are in our struggle a throne is created for God to sit on and take dominion over that area in our lives. After you have given God dominion and authority, then it is time to pray. Pray for His kingdom to come to your situation. Remember, His kingdom is full of life, hope, truth, justice, love, peace, health, joyfulness, abundance, and oh so much more.

And love

Keep planting those seeds of love because remember the harvest will come and we will reap what we sow. Love is patient, kind, is never boastful, proud, or rude. It is not irritable nor demands its own way. Love does not keep a record of wrongs, never gives up, and is long suffering, Love always forgives. Love always hopes.

If you are tired of enduring your trials alone, ask Jesus to come and help you. I promise you He will come indeed!
